Time exchange
I like what I do because when I enjoy it, it rarely feels like work. How should I evaluate that economically?
In my vision, we exchange our lifetime – using money as a neutral medium and disregarding the conventional means of evaluation.
Time
My time is precious to me. I assume you feel the same way.
I would be delighted if you could prepare for our work together. Here are a few ideas:
- Install all pending updates
- Have your passwords ready
- Bring the necessary hardware (including cables; if in doubt, please ask in advance)
- Make a backup copy of your data. No backup, no mercy!
- …
If you need help with any of these things, that’s fine too, of course 🙂
My best is only good enough if you give your best too.

My proposal
I will charge you what you charge me when you work for me.
Sometimes it’s simple – for example, if you are a carpenter with a fixed hourly rate. And sometimes it’s less clear – if you are employed, retired or simply don’t have much leeway at the moment.
Then we can talk about it. Make me an offer.
Regardless of the hourly rate, I expect your offer to reflect your life situation. If you have leeway – visible or not – you are welcome to include it. Prosperity comes with responsibility.
Integrity is a silent virtue.
My target audience
I want to be able to connect with your topic – and enjoy the ride.
I particularly enjoy working with people and projects in the fields of sustainability and ecology – those who are leading our world towards a greener future in their own way.
Cats

And of course, I am also dependent on some customers allowing me this solidarity-based leeway in the first place. Since summer 2024, the four of us have been living off what is left – along with two cats.
What you get
- Personal support, flexible and direct
- Careful and individual solutions that suit you
- An attentive and goal-oriented consultant for all technical matters
- A relationship based on transparency and openness
- A solution that you understand, can work with – and that makes you independent. From me, too!
It is important to me that our collaboration feels fair – for both sides.
Important: If you are bringing old hardware with you, please also bring plenty of time.
Value added tax
My gross hourly rate includes statutory value added tax. If you are not able to deduct input tax yourself, this is a real disadvantage – and I will cover half of it for you.
A sample calculation
We agree on an hourly rate of €80 net. I charge €73.06 net plus 19% VAT.
This comes to €86.94 gross. You pay €6.94 more in VAT, and my net income is reduced by the other €6.94.
With the help of my ChatGPT prompt Bitschelm (chosen by sicselbst!), I created this little form for calculating this.

Asteya
Asteya is the third Yama explained in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Asteya means non-stealing.
It invites us not to take what is not freely given – and to receive what is given with respect.
My pricing is also based on this principle.
